Stoup Brewing Celebrates 2nd Anniversary With 4 New Beers

Stoup Brewing will mark its two year anniversary this Saturday, October 24, with special beer releases and a party at the tasting room. In addition to its full regular lineup of brews, Stoup Brewing will be releasing several specialty beers in honor of the occasion. This will include the popular Ballard brewery’s first Munich-style Helles Lager and the return of #WHISKERStOUT, an export stout brewed for Movember. They will also be releasing two sour beers as well, Sour #2 and Sour #3. Stoup’s Sour #1 was brewed for an event earlier this year and was an instant hit , inspiring the brewery to brew several more for this special occasion. Sour #2 is a Belgian-style pale ale brewed with Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus, aged in a Burgundy barrel (ABV 6%, IBU 19, SRM 7). Stoup Sour #3 is a Belgian-style sour blonde, also brewed with Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces (ABV: 5% IBU: 9 SRM: 4).

Opened in the Fall of 2013, Stoup Brewing quickly became a favorite in Ballard and beyond. The ninth to open in the popular beer neighborhood, Stoup combines the passion of its three founders into a brewery focused on “the Art and Science of beer.”

The fun starts at noon and will include food trucks, live music in the afternoon and evening provided by The Local Strangers and Feel Good Band of the Year, and will continue on until the brewery closes at 10pm. Local food truck, Fez on Wheels will be there serving up healthy, alternative Middle Eastern fare (try the hummus, it’s delicious!).
