Seattle’s Redhook Brewery dates back to 1981, before they joined the Craft Brew Alliance they were slinging craft brews to Seattle sports fans back when the Hawks (and Mariners and Sonics) still played in the Kingdome. Since then they have updated and diversified the lineup honoring both classic beers and new styles, including some made especially for football fanatics. Redhook has your tailgate line-up on lockdown this season, with four brews made for kicking back and enjoying the game. Consider this core four for your next tailgate roundup.

  • False Start Session IPA: The Rookie | The freshest addition to Redhook’s lineup, False Start packs in all of the bright, hoppy flavor of an India Pale Ale with a lower (4.0%) ABV, so you can keep crushing from kick-off to the final whistle. Available exclusively in Washington State.
  • Audible Pale Ale: The Playmaker | Like a great running back, Audible makes a reliable go-to play after play but supplies enough surprises to break loose for big plays. A refreshing American Pale Ale (4.7% ABV), Audible starts with the malty notes football fans love and finishes with the taste of citrusy hops, taking the style to another level.
  • ESB Tall Boy: The Throwback | ESB (5.2% ABV) is one of Redhook’s original brews, hailing back all the way to 1984, when the Seahawks were just getting going. And, just like sure-handed Steve Largent, ESB never drops the ball and is always ready to get in the game, especially in tallboy cans, available exclusively in Washington State.
  • Long Hammer IPA Tall Boy: The Game Changer | A craft IPA in a can? You heard it right. Redhook is changing the IPA game with 16 oz. cans of Long Hammer IPA, a crisp, dry-hopped India Pale Ale that at a moderate 6.2% ABV won’t take you out of the game.
