The Great Old Ones have been pleased and now Bremerton will get to welcome their newest brewery this week. LoveCraft Brewing will be opening their doors on Friday, November 27 at noon.

Owners and brewers Jesse and Tasha Wilson both have several years under the belt in the brewing industry. Jesse graduated from Western Washington University then moved to the Seattle area, where he started working at Hale’s Ales. It was at Hale’s that Jesse and Tasha met and their love for craft beer also blossomed into a love for each other.

The duo began creating a business plan for a brewery that would focus on more farmhouse and Belgian beer styles. Combining their interest for H.P. LoveCraft and his writing they were attracted to the LoveCraftian world where Cthulhu reigns and anything is possible. The brewery theme mixed with the beer styles gives way to names such as Hypnos IPA, USS Eldridge, and Elder God Bier de Garde. LoveCraft Brewing will be pouring their Olde Kitsap Saison, USS Eldridge Session IPA, and Hypnos IPA on opening day.

Their highly successful Kickstarter campaign aided in the taproom and brewery build-out. Raising over $30,000 between 300 backers, LoveCraft Brewing was able to use the crowd-funded capital to purchase brewery equipment such as their 3-barrel system, fermenters, taproom tables and chairs, and branded glassware.

The building where LoveCraft Brewing calls home was originally built in the 1920’s and was previously a Sears store. The main pillar in the middle of the taproom is part of the original building’s design, the bar top was made from reclaimed wood from the original building, and they are planning to use more reclaimed wood for future projects for the brewery.

The brewery plans on eventually having six of their beers on tap and possibly two guest taps, with one perhaps being a cider option. They have pour-over coffee, tea, chips, and pretzels available for purchase. LoveCraft Brewing is looking into the possibility of food trucks being outside in the future.

With their close proximity to the Bremerton Ferry Terminal, it is exceptionally easy to walk on the Seattle ferry and walk to the new brewery. The revitalization of downtown Bremerton has proven to be more welcoming to visitors, even more so with two breweries within a few minutes’ walk of one another.

LoveCraft Brewing’s taproom hours will be:

Monday-Thursday: 2:00pm-8:00pm

Friday and Saturday: 12:00pm-9:00pm

Sunday: 12:00pm-6:00pm
